These Terms of Service explain the rules for using Arcana Log, including the mobile app, website, and related services. By using Arcana Log, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. About Arcana Log
Arcana Log is a private clue journal for recording Dream Clues, Inner Clues, Symbol Clues, Card Clues, and My Reflection entries. The Service helps you save daily clues, look back through Journal and Activity views, and manually export or import local backup files.
2. Reflection Tool, Not Professional Advice
Arcana Log is designed for personal journaling, self-reflection, and creative insight. Card Clue and other prompts are not predictions, guarantees, or professional advice. The Service is not a substitute for medical, legal, financial, psychological, safety, or other professional advice, diagnosis, treatment, or decision-making.
3. Eligibility
Arcana Log is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum age required in your region. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you should use the Service only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
4. Accounts
The main Arcana Log 2.0 clue journal features are designed to work without sign-in. Some legacy account-management, purchase-related, support, or diagnostic features may require supported authentication. If you use an account feature, you are responsible for keeping your account secure and for activity that occurs through it.
5. Your Journal Content
Notes, reflections, tags, state values, drawings, and other records you create in Arcana Log remain your content. You are responsible for the content you write, save, export, import, delete, or share from the app.
You should not create, save, export, import, or share content that is unlawful, harmful, abusive, misleading, or infringes the rights of others. If you choose to share text, images, screenshots, or backup files outside Arcana Log, they may become visible to other people or services depending on your chosen sharing method.
6. Local Records and Backup Files
Arcana Log stores personal journal records on your device by default. The current version does not automatically back up or sync your personal journal records to our servers.
Backup files are created and managed by you. Keep backup files private and safe. If your device is lost, app data is deleted, or a backup file is lost or overwritten, your records may not be recoverable.
7. Card Clue
Card Clue is one type of clue in Arcana Log. It uses card-based content as a prompt for reflection. It does not promise accurate outcomes, future events, or specific results. Card Clue availability, cooldown rules, wording, card content, and deck options may change over time.
8. Purchases, Ads, and Restore Purchases
Arcana Log may show ads where ads are enabled, currently intended for the Card Clue flow. Arcana Log may also offer optional purchases, such as ad removal. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store, and RevenueCat may be used to manage purchase entitlements and restoration status.
Prices are shown before purchase using information provided by the App Store. Non-consumable purchases can be restored through the app where supported. Refund requests, billing issues, and purchase cancellation rules are handled by Apple and may be subject to Apple's App Store terms and policies.
9. App Content and Intellectual Property
Arcana Log, including its design, interface, text, images, card and deck artwork, logos, templates, and other app content, is owned by Arcana Log or its licensors, except for content you create yourself. You may use app content only as allowed by the Service. You may not copy, redistribute, sell, reverse engineer, or create competing products from Arcana Log content unless we give written permission or applicable law allows it.
10. Acceptable Use
- Do not disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or abuse the Service.
- Do not bypass purchase, entitlement, cooldown, or security systems.
- Do not use the Service to harass others or violate their rights.
- Do not upload, save, export, import, or share unlawful or rights-infringing content.
- Do not use automated systems to scrape, copy, or misuse the Service.
11. Privacy
Our data practices are described in the Privacy Policy. Please review it to understand local storage, backups, third-party services, purchases, ads, and support data.
12. Availability and Changes to the Service
We may update, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service. We try to keep Arcana Log reliable, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. Features, content, deck availability, prices, ads, platform integrations, and backup behavior may change over time.
13. Disclaimers
Arcana Log is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that prompts, card clues, interpretations, journal insights, backups, or activity summaries will be accurate, complete, uninterrupted, or suitable for any specific outcome.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Arcana Log and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including decisions you make based on prompts or journal records, loss of local data, backup-file issues, purchase issues handled by Apple, or service interruptions.
15. Apple App Store Terms
If you downloaded Arcana Log from the Apple App Store, your use of the app may also be subject to Apple's App Store terms and the Apple Standard End User License Agreement unless a separate valid agreement applies. Apple is not responsible for Arcana Log support or maintenance. Questions about Arcana Log should be directed to us.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Your continued use of Arcana Log after the Terms are updated means you accept the updated Terms.
